Privacy Policy

Dream Divination (hereinafter "this site") is committed to protecting user privacy. This policy explains how we handle information on this site.

Definition of Personal Information

"Personal information" in this policy refers to information that can identify a specific individual, such as name and email address.

Information We Collect

This site may automatically collect information such as browser type, referring page, access date and time, and pages viewed. This information does not identify individuals.

Purpose of Use

Collected information is used to understand site usage, improve content, and maintain stable operation of the service.

Analytics

This site uses analytics tools. These tools collect information through standard browser technologies but do not collect personally identifiable information. Collected data is used for the purpose of improving the site. Search terms that return no results in the site search are sent to the analytics tool to help decide which articles to add.

Advertising and Affiliates

This site participates in third-party affiliate programs. We may receive referral fees through purchases made via product links. No additional cost is incurred by users through the use of affiliate links.

Advertising

This site may use advertising services provided by third-party vendors, including Google. These third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can visit www.aboutads.info to learn how to opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising.

Disclosure to Third Parties

This site does not provide personal information to third parties except as required by law or to report abuse. Please note that third-party services may automatically collect information through your browser for advertising and analytics purposes; this information does not personally identify you.

About Standard Browser Technologies

The standard browser technologies used by this site can be disabled through your browser settings. However, disabling these technologies may prevent some site features from functioning properly.

Data Stored on Your Device (localStorage)

Some features of this site (such as the dream journal and content ratings) store what you enter or select only within your browser on your device (localStorage). The contents of your dream journal are never sent to our servers. The values sent to our server for the Dream Dive ranking are described in the next section. You can delete the dream journal data at any time with the "Delete all entries" button on the journal page, or by clearing your browser data.

Dream Dive ranking

In the game Dream Dive, when you start and finish a daily night, we send a random ID created on your device, the numbers of your dream name, your score, the layer you reached, and the date to our server for the ranking. The ranking makes public your dream name, score, layer reached, number of consecutive days, and the first 8 characters of your ID. A value derived from your IP address is used only to limit how often data can be sent, and is deleted after 2 days. The IP address itself is not stored. Records on the server are deleted after 60 days. To cut the link to your records, clear this site's stored data in your browser. Your ID will change and your earlier records will no longer be connected to you.

When you create a code in Dream Dive's Compare with friends, our server registers the code, a value made from your key (kept in your browser) that cannot be turned back into it, the date the code was issued, and the number of days you have shown results along with the last day counted. This is not linked to your device ID or IP address. The registration has no time limit and is deleted when you make a new code. A value derived from your IP address is used only to limit how often these features can be used (such as creating codes and reading results); it is not linked to the registration and is deleted after 2 days. While showing is on, your daily-night results (the numbers of your dream name, score, layer reached, consecutive days, number of days shown, and time) are kept for up to 3 days, and only people who know your code can see them. Choosing Hide or making a new code deletes the results that can be read (the rest disappear within 3 days). Your friends list and friend color marks stay only in your browser and are not sent to the server.
